Our Wedding Date: May 8, 2010

Iain and Cath in . . . The Wedding!

  • Thankyou to Everyone!

    Hello All,

We are now a few weeks into our marriage, and can confidently say that neither of us are contemplating divorce or murder (yet!).

However, we do want to say a VERY BIG THANKYOU to everyone who came to our wedding, (and to those who weren't able to). You all helped to make it a very special day for us. Seeing all of our friends and family having a great time together was wonderful and we will remember it for a long time, possibly even when we are old and wrinkly and can't remember anything else.

Also, we must say thankyou to everyone who contributed to the Honeyfund - we had a fantastic, relaxing honeymoon in Bath at a very, very nice hotel and ate in their Michelin starred restaurant as well. Without your generosity we would not have been able to afford this luxury/experience. Thankyou.

To those who gave us other pressies, thankyou too! We ended up with quite a chunk of John Lewis vouchers and have just taken delivery of all our goodies! There are too many individuals to mention here, so we will say thankyou personally for their thoughtful/beautiful/interesting/fun gifts.

Lots of love and best wishes, and again, thanks to everyone.

    Cath & Iain

  • HoneyFund = Wedding Gift!

Instead of a gift list, we are setting up a website so that contributions can be made to the cost of the honeymoon (click on the "A Sort Of Gift List" button on the left for updates and more info).

  • A quick note about RSVPing online

The RSVP form on here doesn't have many boxes for us to ask for specific information, here's a few things we'd like you to let us know:

If you have any dietary requirements (allergies, vege, vegan, diabetic).
If you are responding on behalf of someone in addition to yourself, please let us know their name too.
If you are/aren't going to be bringing a +1, please confirm here.

    Thankyou lovely people!

  • Botanics House Rules

    No Confetti!

    Howdy Guests,

As you may have guessed from the title of this post, there are one or two rules that we need to let ya'll know about prior to our sophisticated (no sniggering) soiree in May.

No confetti allowed in the Botanics. It is the work of the devil.
Makes a nasty mess of the beautifully kept gardens, and is bad for the environment with all those bleaching agents and dyes (no, you can't have "natural" dried petal confetti either!).

    No. 2
After closing time (about 7pm) we won't be allowed to roam free in the gardens. This is a security thing as much as anything else, to prevent people from getting lost and falling into a pond after it gets dark. Or drunkenly sitting or rare plants.

Ok, lesson over, thanks for reading.
    Cath x
